In a surprising turn of events, the Union of Arab Football Association, decided to cancel the 09/2010 edition of the Arab champions' league due to the heaving agenda as described in the governing body of Arab football' website.

It is worth noting that QFA restrained its clubs from participating in the mentioned competition in past years owing to the same reason.

The troubled competition saw an unquestionable dominance by North African clubs in recent years, leading to emptying it from major Asian clubs eventually.
